This policy explains what information we collect when you use our websites or contact us, what we do with it, and how you can control it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean that business. "You" means anyone visiting our sites or contacting us.
When you fill out a form, request a guide, ask about a property, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us by phone or email, we may collect:
Phone number is optional on most of our forms. Email is generally required, because it is how we send you what you asked for.
Like most websites, ours collect some technical information automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how long you spent on them, and the site or search that sent you to us. We use this to understand what is useful and what is not.
Our email platform records when an email we sent you is opened and which links are clicked. Every link in our emails is routed through a click-tracking redirect before it reaches its destination.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We do not sell or share your phone number, your SMS consent, or any information collected as part of SMS consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages on our behalf, who are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
Consent to receive text messages from us is never a condition of any purchase, listing agreement, or service.
If you check a consent box on one of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Coastal Stays Realty at the number you provided. Messages may include delivery of materials you requested, responses to property inquiries, appointment scheduling and reminders, new listing notifications, and market updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. Reply HELP for assistance, or call 251-727-6977. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Our consent checkboxes are unchecked by default. If you never check one, we will not text you marketing messages.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing email. We may still contact you directly about an active transaction, a property you asked about, or a reservation.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only where it is necessary to operate, and only with parties who need it:

Our websites use cookies and similar technology to keep the site working, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
We keep contact and inquiry records for as long as you remain a client or prospect and for as long afterward as we reasonably need them, or as long as Alabama or Florida real estate record-keeping rules require — whichever is longer. Transaction records are retained according to those licensing requirements.
If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so except where we are required to keep it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Tell us what you are asking for and we will work with you.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we limit access to people who need it. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our websites are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our sites link to third-party websites — listing portals, municipal offices, mapping services and similar. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them information.
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
